Limited Warranty

Effective September 8, 2026 | United States

Please read this Limited Warranty carefully and keep your proof of purchase. This warranty describes the coverage provided by Viking Sauna Co for a new sauna purchased directly from Viking Sauna Co or an authorized seller.

1. Who and What Is Covered

Viking Sauna Co ("Viking", "we", "us", or "our") warrants to the original retail purchaser that the covered sauna will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use during the applicable warranty periods below. This warranty applies only to a new sauna installed and used in the United States. It is not transferable unless Viking agrees otherwise in writing.

Covered Component Warranty Period What Is Covered
Sauna structure 3 years Defects in Viking-manufactured wall, roof, floor, bench, and door assemblies that materially impair normal use.
Viking workmanship and supplied hardware 1 year Defects in assembly workmanship and Viking-supplied fasteners, hinges, handles, vents, and trim.
Electrical items, heater, controls, lighting, and accessories Manufacturer warranty Covered only under the original component manufacturer's warranty, if any. Viking will reasonably assist with a valid manufacturer claim but does not extend that coverage.

Each period begins on the original date of delivery. Any replacement part or repaired component is covered only for the remainder of the original applicable warranty period.

2. Natural Wood Characteristics

Wood is a natural material that changes with heat, humidity, sunlight, and weather. The following are normal characteristics and are not defects unless they materially impair the sauna's structural function:

  • Color variation, grain variation, knots, mineral marks, and changes in tone over time;
  • Minor checking, surface cracks, warping, shrinkage, swelling, resin seepage, or small gaps caused by normal movement of wood;
  • Weathering, fading, graying, or finish deterioration from outdoor exposure; and
  • Normal expansion and contraction that may require seasonal adjustment of doors, bands, fasteners, or other components.

3. Owner Responsibilities

Warranty coverage depends on proper handling, installation, operation, and maintenance. The owner must:

  • Follow all Viking assembly, foundation, ventilation, clearance, operation, and maintenance instructions;
  • Provide a stable, level, properly drained base capable of supporting the sauna;
  • Use qualified, licensed professionals for electrical work and comply with applicable codes and the heater manufacturer's instructions;
  • Maintain exterior wood and weather protection appropriate for the local climate, keep water from pooling around or beneath the sauna, and promptly address leaks;
  • Keep the sauna reasonably clean, ventilated, and dry between uses; and
  • Stop using the sauna and promptly notify Viking if a condition could create a safety hazard or cause further damage.

4. What Is Not Covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage, failure, loss, or cost caused by or related to:

  • Improper transportation, storage, assembly, installation, electrical work, foundation, drainage, ventilation, maintenance, repair, alteration, or relocation;
  • Use contrary to instructions; commercial, rental, public, institutional, or unusually intensive use unless expressly approved in writing;
  • Accident, abuse, misuse, negligence, vandalism, impact, overloading, or use of unauthorized chemicals or cleaning products;
  • Water intrusion, standing water, excessive moisture, mold, mildew, rot, insects, animals, corrosion, or freeze damage when not caused by a covered defect;
  • Fire, flood, wind, hail, lightning, earthquake, falling objects, power surge, utility problems, extreme weather, or other events beyond Viking's reasonable control;
  • Normal wear, cosmetic conditions, natural wood characteristics listed above, consumable items, routine adjustments, maintenance, or refinishing;
  • Damage caused by a heater, control, electrical component, accessory, or part not manufactured by Viking, except to the extent separately covered by its manufacturer;
  • A product with an altered or removed serial number, or a product purchased used, as-is, from an unauthorized seller, or after unauthorized modification; or
  • Labor, travel, crane, rigging, demolition, removal, reinstallation, finish matching, landscaping, decking, utility, or other site costs unless Viking expressly approves them in writing before the cost is incurred.

5. How to Make a Warranty Claim

A claim must be submitted within the applicable warranty period and within 30 days after the issue is discovered or reasonably should have been discovered. Contact Viking Sauna Co through the contact information shown on your invoice or on Viking's official website and provide:

  • Purchaser name, delivery address, phone number, and email;
  • Order number, purchase date, sauna model, and proof of purchase;
  • A clear description of the issue and when it began; and
  • Clear photographs and, if requested, video showing the full sauna, affected area, foundation, installation, and relevant electrical or heater information.

Viking may request reasonable troubleshooting, measurements, maintenance records, remote inspection, or an on-site inspection. Do not remove, discard, repair, or replace the affected item before Viking has had a reasonable opportunity to evaluate it, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety or to prevent additional damage.

6. Viking's Remedy

If Viking confirms a covered defect, Viking will, at its option, repair the defective component, provide a replacement component, or refund the portion of the original purchase price reasonably attributable to that component. Viking may use new or functionally equivalent parts. The selected remedy is the purchaser's exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty.

Unless Viking agrees otherwise in writing, the purchaser is responsible for reasonable access to the sauna and for disassembly, installation, electrical work, removal, and reinstallation. Viking will pay ordinary shipping for an approved replacement part within the contiguous United States. Expedited delivery, remote-area charges, and special handling may be charged to the purchaser.

7. Limitations and State-Law Rights

THIS IS A LIMITED WARRANTY. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE SHORTEST APPLICABLE WRITTEN WARRANTY PERIOD STATED ABOVE.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIKING WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, SUBSTITUTE ACCOMMODATIONS, OR DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY. VIKING'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM A PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THAT PRODUCT.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some limitations may not apply. This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights, and the purchaser may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this warranty limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. General Terms

  • No dealer, installer, employee, or other person may change this warranty unless the change is in a written document signed by an authorized Viking representative.
  • If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • This warranty does not replace or reduce a separate written installation agreement, sales agreement, or manufacturer warranty. If terms conflict, mandatory law controls.
